Mig Welder
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who take pride in their job, are efficient with their time, adds value, and thrives in a team-oriented environment to join our Weld Team. Successful candidates will have prior work experience as a Mig Welder of large mechanical equipment and be capable of reading blueprints and schematics successfully.
Responsibilities:
- Welding and fabrication: pulse MIG Welding
- Carbon/structural steel
- Fit and weld prefabricated metal parts
- Inspect completed weldments for quality
- Good quality and attention to detail required
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams
Qualifications:
- MIG experience with large weldments
- Experience with solid wire with gas process
- Able to weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)
- Must work quickly, skillfully and accurately to meet production and quality requirements
- Good attendance is required
- Must be fit for duty, with the ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, lift 50+ lbs
- Must be reliable, able to be on time for daily shift, and have dependable transportation
- Knowledge of and ability to correctly use basic hand tools
- Follow all safe work practices and wear proper PPE
- Work well independently and as a team
- Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred
Education:
- Welding certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to reasonably commute to York, SC on a daily basis and have dependable transportation
